Volvo Repair: 95 VOLVO 940 GLE Window Switch, volvo 940 gle, volvo 940

Question
On center panel switches, just one switch is not working--will only open window, not close.i pulled whole unit out, and it is not a plug-in style.all swi8tches are soldered. how do i replace only the one switch? is it a special type of solder? i pulled a similar switch from my other "dead" '91 volvo(the switches on that switch panel were all "plug-in" style). i gotta get my driver window up---it's freezing outside!

Lawrence, I have never seen  this type of switch on a 940. It can be done.  Ive done it on 850's but to get your window up, just get 2 wires and a battery and hook it up to the window motor and then put window up until you can mess with the switches.  Roger
