My 2000 buick custom century keeps blowing out the fuse for the rear tailights and dashboard system, can you please tell me how to correct this problem
Answer -
What mechanical work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made. Has there been ANY electrical work done or ANYTHING that would require removal of electrical connections or have you ADDED anything to the vehicles electrical system ?.

Did you check the fuses in the fuse panel. Physically remove them and inspect them.

Answer
I don't have a 2000 Buick electrical manual in my 700 + book library, But I would start by disconnecting the electrical connectors at the right and left tail lights and then proceed to the front parking lights lights electrical connectors.

Does your vehicle have an UNDER HOOD light that lights up the engine compartment ?.

If it does, Unplug it from the housing and see if your fuse still blows. These under hood lights are notorious for shorting out and or look to see that the wire going to the under hood light is not being pinched when you shut the hood.

Let me know what you find.
