Question
My 2001 Dodge Neon blows hot air all the time even when I have turned the heat to cool. My car is running at tempature and is not over heating.I do not have air conditioning  could this be caused by my thurmastat not working properly or from another problem. what should i do it is spring now and i am starting too cook in the car. I only noticed the problem yesterday.
thank you a conserned Neon owner

Answer
If the car is running at temperature i don't think the problem is the thermostat. It can be caused by a vacuum leak, when you turn the control knob to cool the vents are not closing from the heat position which means the vent that closes the air off from the heater core is not working. And you are getting the hot air inside the car.Have someone pull a vacuum check on the car to see if that's the problem.
