Dodge: problems, dodge ram 1500, dodge trucks

I am looking to buy an 05 Ram 1500 quad cab with a V-6 Hemi, standard of course. But one of my parents have heard rumors about Dodge Trucks being unsatisfactory in that they have many problems. One of these problems brought to question is that the transmission only lasts about 90k or sometimes fewer. My buddies and my uncle that have Dodge Rams, never have had any trans problems or any at that matter. I was doing research to make sure that Dodge was the right truck for me. Any problems I should know about them before I drop 20g on a new truck?

All makes have problems,and yes Dodge does have some transmission issues.I guess it's a gamble in anything you buy anymore.I have a 1996 Dodge ram 1500 with 140,000 miles on it and the transmission is fine.At 135000 miles it started to hesitate shifting but wound up being a sticking valve body.I added TransTune by Seafoam and it shifts like it did the day i bought it.Everyone has an opinion and it is wise to do research before buying ,but this is my opinion on the issue.
