Dodge: MISFIRING DODGE TRUCK, dodge ram 1500, catalatic converter

Question
i have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 360 in it.first let me tell you what i've done to it. i've replaced all fuel injectors, plug wires,dist.cap. and distributor (which came out of a 318) i hollowed out the catalatic converter and unplugged the o2 sensors. i've had the transmission rebuilt not long ago and it seems to slip in between 1 and 2 so i took it back to the transmission shop and they said the transmission checked out but i was misfiring on at least 7  cylinders. when i took the distributor cap off it had the chalky stuff on the contacts. anyway the transmission shop said the misfiring was causing my transmission to not shift right. any ideals would really be appreciated

Answer
If it's misfiring on 7 cylinders means the truck is running very bad,it can cause the transmission not to shift. You need to get the engine running right and then see if the transmission shifts then.Unplugging the o2 sensors will also cause it to run like crap,it's fine to hollow a catalytic converter but when messing with a sensor, all being hooked into the computer will mess up everything. The sensors need to be plugged in,this can make the engine light stay on all the time.Even resetting the computer will not always fix it because the sensors are there for a reason. This may be the whole reason the truck is misfiring.
