QuestionGood morning! My son joined the Marines and is due to return home soon and I said I'd fix his 1992 Ford F150 4x4, automatic, 351W.
I took it to the dealer and they said they cannot get any communication from the ?ECM?. Wanted about $600 to replace it. $$ tight, I undertook this. Where is the ECM? I read the book and it talks about 104 or 60 pin. What I found was behind the glovebox. There is not any 60 or 104 pins to the wiring.
Help where is this and also the ECM Fuse Relay?

AnswerI think the ecm is going to be in the engine bay... all the way on the drivers side near the steering column... it will have a large harness going to it and the connector will be rectangular in shape, and have a 10mm bolt holding it to the ecm... the ecm has a fuse link... not a fuse... and the relay should be near the ecm...
