i have a couple of questions starting with this 1,
my tachometer has went and i don't know how to fix it or should i just replace the whole package "tach,speedo,gauges". Second i had a my starter replaced with a new 1 because soemtimes when i start my car i hear a grinding/clanking noise, what is that was i scammed on the new starter because the noise is still there, also my low coolant light comes on and the side conatiner for the coolant is empty  and every time i add coolants it leaks out like crazy, and finally the last question i live in south florida do i need to have a thermostat in my 5.0? thank you for all the help you can provide.

1)on the tach you need to ck the coil  green wire which is your tach. signal wire. if you have a rpm reading then the cluster is no good or you have a open in the wire.                                                       2)what you are saying is you have a new stater and the noise is still there?                                                      3)were is the coolant comming out of ?  and if you don't know you need to have the  coolant  system pressure        tested.                                                     4)you have to always run a 195 thermostat in order for the com. sys to work properly.or the vehicle will never go into close loop.which means the comp. won't perform  proper.
