GM-GMC: 1988 chevy 350 timing chain, chevy 350, ooo miles

Hello Mr. Jacobson,
I have a 1988 Chevy 1/2 ton 1500 p/u. I need to know the timing position specs. as I just replaced it with a new one @ 266,ooo miles. Thank You if you can help!

If you are referring to the timing chain installation, the crankshaft gear mark must be pointing straight up (12 o'clock position).  The camshaft gear mark must be pointing straight down (6 o'clock position).

If you are asking about ignition timing, I cannot help you as my technical manuals are not that new.
