Honda: steering, Honda, steering

Question
i have a 1999 honda accord v6 2 door coupe and my steering is going bad on it. i went to a mechanic and he said that i need a wheel bearing and a front tie rod end and two knuckles and installed for 650 dollars. i want to know if im getting screwed on the price or is this stuff what i really need to fix a car that squeals and that pulls to the right a little.

Answer
A squealing noise while turning the steering wheel could be caused by a failing power steering pump, low fluid in the system, or a loose belt. If the pump is noisy it should be replaced along with the power steering reservoir because it has an internal filter. If the fluid is low, the system has a leak that needs to be diagnosed and corrected. If the belt is loose, it should be adjusted or replaced. Has your mechanic explained the reasons why it needs the knuckles? Are the bent from a previous accident? If the car does need steering knuckles replaced it will need new wheel bearings pressed into the new knuckle.
