Mazda: rx-8, mazda rx 7, nissan 350z

Question
My fiance shares your interest in Mazda Rx-7's, but he is pretty excited about the new Rx-8 (and has been since he first heard about it over a year ago).  I was wondering if you are able to estimate how much a new Rx-8 might cost and how I should go about finding a dealer to purchase one.  Also, I would appreciate any estimates you have (I know you're not an economic expert) about how the price might change in the next few years.  I know my questions have nothing to do with the Rx-7, but I'd appreciate any insight.
Thanks!

Answer
Well, in my personal opinion, I'd wait until the 2005 model comes out with the turbo.  But that's just me.  If you want to know how much it will cost, you can actually build your own to suit your needs on www.mazda.com.

I read the Car and Driver review on it, and they gave it a 9 out of 10!!!!  that's impressive for those guys.  It beat out a mustang cobra supercharged and an infinity... well, their version of the Nissan 350Z  Can't remember what it was called.  It looks like a really good car especially for the money... I think well equipped for 29,000.  Go to mazda.com for exact numbers.  If I was going to buy one, I'd definitely wait until the turbo model comes out.  If it has 250hp normally aspirated, then imagine what it will be like with just a mild turbo!!!   You put a big aftermarket turbo on that thing, and it will probably be around 500hp easy!!  They've definitely done some serious modifications to the rotary engine...  I can't wait to get my hands on one of those engines... put it in a little 1st gen rx-7.. omg will that be awesome.

Sorry to write a book, but I think they are freaking awesome as well.  Just curious, what year Rx-7 do you own?
