Mercedes: mercedes 190e transmission problem, mercedes 190e, transmission problem

My 1991 mercedes 190e 2.6 transmission has problems shifting from first to second, then doesn't shift into third at all. My transmission worked fine just a few days ago. Could the fact that I played around with my fuses and relays affect this at all?

Coincidental, possibly. I am not sure if that transmission has electrical servos or not. Some of the vehicle use computer input to shift.
Whatever the cause you should not drive the vehicle until you determine the reason.
