Mercedes: 1981 380sl merc, vacuum leaks, long term storage

Question
i have the above which i have just bought out of storage for our english summer

When i put her away  all was fine

Started her up and instead of going on choke for just a few seconds it went onto reving ar 1500rpm for ages then eventually settled down

Now it will not settle down at all

I have taken off the air filter and used carb cleaner again this worked for a little while now its back to reving again

Is there a valve/sensor i need to look at or is there a way of disconecting something in the short term to get over this problem

Answer:
Long term storage has ruined many Mercedes Benz.
* The throttle linkage must be throughly lubricated every year.
* The fuel turns to varnish, clogging the injectors.
* The fuel lines from pump to injectors can corrode inside, carrying rust into the injectors on start up, which can cause leaking injectors.
* The rubber air "Breather Hoses" dry rot, creating massive vacuum leaks.
* There are many O ring seals to dry rot, creating massive vacuum leaks.
* The idle control valve can become corroded/gummed up in a bad position, due to lack of exercises.
