Mitsubishi: engine cuttingout on 2000 mirage, 2000 mitsubishi mirage, mitsubishi mirage

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage DE it was fine on a trip across town, I shut it off and was there 2 hours upon restarting it the service engine soon light came on and it was acting like it wasn't getting fuel. Once it got moveing it was ok but at every stop it began the cycle again. Any ideas?

There are so many sensors on todays cars that need to be working in order for your car to run properly that it would be a huge guessing game without knowing what the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) are that are stored in your car's computer. I suggest you take to a shop that can scan your car's memory and let me know what the DTC's are so I can tell you what needs to be done. Do not let the guy clear the codes without writing them down. This happens a lot, believe me. Cottman Transmission will scan your car for free if there is one in the area. Please resubmit the info!
