Mitsubishi: Engine Stuttering and Hestitation, service engine soon light, mitsubishi lancer

HI Dinger. Just wanted your opinion on my 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer LS. My engine size is 2 LTR, 4 Cylinder. My 'Service Engine Soon' light has been on and my car stutters when I am pressing on my brake and even hesitates when I accelerate after pressing my brakes. Any ideas or advice would be great. Thank you.

Hi Michelle,

Your SES light is connected to dozens of different sensors and switches. I suggest that you take it to a garage that can scan your car's computer as soon as possible. This will tell us what repair is needed and it will likely fix your drivabilty problem. Cottman Transmission will scan your car for free if you have one in the area. Resubmit to me what the code(s) are and I can tell you which direction we need to go.
