Saab: Fuel pump - no power, electrical portion, fuel pump

Question
Have no power going to the fuel pump.  I checked the relay for the fuel pump no power going there, so then I checked the fuse and no power going there.  All the fuses and relays for the fuel pump checked out fine but I replaced them anyway.  Still no power.  I also replaced the ECM and am thinking of looking at the ignition switch electrical portion, but when I turn the key the instrument pannel comes right on and you hear the car trying to start, just no power to the fuel pump.  I am lost for words at this.

Andrew:
Since you did not mention the year or model of your SAAB, I can only surmise a possible solution. The fuel pump signal works driven by a "retriggerable multivibrator" circuit, i. e., when you turn the key on, the fuel pump activates for 1 second and then goes off; if you checked for voltage at this point, you might no get any. This 1 -second interval "charges up" the fuel lines. When you start the car, the running engine provides a signal that renergizes the fuel pump and keeps it on, but only when the engine is actually running. This is a safety feature so that the fuel pump stops, for example, in an accident should the engine stop with fuel lines possibly ruptured.
You should therefore check for voltage during that 1 -second interval just after the ign. switch is turned on for which you'll need an assistant and a quick responding light or voltmeter. I hope this helps.
