Saab: saab 9000, saab 9000, electrical contact

my wife drove car to mall shopped for 1 hour came back put key in ignition  
wouldnt start   at all and afyer awhile the wheel froze up cant get key out   she
did not check if car was dead

  Unfortunately I do not have enough information to make a good recommendation; also, as my profile states, I do NOT have hands-on experience with the SAAB 9000.
 Offhand,tho, it sounds like a problem for a locksmith and possibly a bad electrical contact somewhere after that.
