Volkswagen: Seat not moving, drivers seat, melissa

I recently installed new floor boards into my 1969 VW beetle... well about 2 yrs ago. I was trying to adjust the drivers seat backward so my boyfriend could drive it and it won't move back more than 1 click. I cleaned the tracks and used WD40... any suggestions?

Hi Melissa,

Sometimes these seats do end up sticking a little bit.  Inspect the tracks, and make sure the lever is working correctly to release the seat.

If all checks out ok,  you may need to put a block of wood on the seat supports, move the lever to the 'adjust' position, and gently tap the wood with a hammer to free the seat.
