Volvo: 92 Volvo 940, blown head gasket, fuel pump relay

Question
I recently repaired a blown head gasket in this car and since the initial test drive it won't start However,it will run momentarily with starting fluid.  There isn't any fuel reaching the fuel injectors.  I read something, somewhere about this kind of problem after overheating. any suggestions other than the fuel pump & relay?
Thanks for your time,
Haskins

Answer
Haskins,
If the overheating caused a wire harness to fail maybe there is not any power to the pump relay. How about the flywheel pick up are the wires frayed? Could you have crossed the wire connectors between the idle air motor and the throttle switch? Are all the power wires attached to the positive cable end in good and tight condition? Fuse blown for the fuel control unit, or pump? Bad pump relay or radio suppression relay (for the injectors).
