HI.I HAVE A VOLVO 960 ESTATE THE UP ARROW AUTO TRANS LIGHT IS FLASHING.SELECT W AND E ALL SO FLASHING.CHECKED FLUID THATS NOW OK.AUTO BOX IS FINE.I WAS GOING TO  GIVE IT A SERVICE.I MAY BE WASTING MY TIME.CAN YOU HELP.

The flashing lights would indicate that there is a fault code in the trans control unit. The longer that the car is used in the condition that it is in you stand more chance that more serious problems will occure. Get the car to a shop that will be able to read the codes and advise you what those codes mean.
