Volvo: 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo, volvo 850, distributor cap

I have a 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo, and when i crank it up, I am seeing sparks outside of the distributor cap, what could be my problem? I have been told by a couple of people that it may be the distributor cap? I would like any help u can give me thanks!!

It could be that your distributor cap is wet, causing the current to arc.  Check for condensation underneath.  Also check to see if there is a puncture in the plug wires, or a short or cut anywhere that would infringe on the flow of current to the plugs.  Good luck!
