4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: gmc door lock, gmc s15 jimmy, flat screwdriver

i have a 1991 GMC s15 jimmy 2 door.  the passenger side door lock where you put the key in on the outside.  When you put the key in it does not turn.  how do i remove the lock so that i can repair it?  or do you know what the problem could be?  If you don't know could you please tell me who i should ask.

ok...open the door and look on the edge where tou can see the latch, there will be what looks like a little thin piece of metal folded on the outside of the door skin possibly with a screw in it. Take a flat screwdriver and pry it out. once you get it out it should look like a small horseshoe. Then pull the lock from the outside and remove the lock rod then replace in reverse with new lock
