4 Wheel Drive/SUVs: lower transmission line removal at radiator, model jeep, auto parts stores

Question
when i got ready to remoove my radiator  i discovered the top tranny line was threaded and the lower one was not.havnt experienced this type of connection,does the plastic just compress and the line pull off?
and do i need to replace the plastic retainer after i remoove the line

Some of these lines require a special tool for removal, and installation.  I would suggest that you purchase a repair manual (around $20) for your model Jeep.  These manuals give step by step instructions on most repairs, along with a list of any special tools required.  These manuals can come in handy for future trouble shooting.  They can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
