Jeep: Two questions: 1)88Cherokee..., compressor clutch, screw driver

Question
Two questions:
1)88'Cherokee no ignition signal. Would like to know how to diagnose pick up coil and ignition module.
2)95'Cherokee no injector signal, no ignition signal. Fan and  ac compressor clutch on at all times, suspect E.C.M. Would like to know how to determine that the E.C.M has actually failed.
Thank you for the time and consideration.

Answer
Question 1

There are a number of ways to test the coil, easiest is to pull the center wire from the distributor cap and using a screw driver touching the metal inside put the shaft of the screw driver close but not touching the engine block have someone start the vehicle and watch for spark. If you have no spark the first thing that I would do is to get along extention about 2 ft or a pry bar and tap on the TDC sensor. This is a sensor locate on the top of the transmision bell housing where it meet the engine block, If you look from the drivers side down at the top side of the transmision from the engine compartment you should see or feel two wires that feed the TDC.
When this is tapped repeat the check for spark as listed above.

Question 2 will be addressed later sorry.
