Suzuki: 1987 samurai carb problems, issue one, floods

Question
I have a 87 samurai that just dyed when I was driving it. I tryed to start it but it wouldn't. I checked the carb & seen that when I was starting it there was a lot of gas flowing in the carb. I bought a carb kit & put it in the carb but it still floods with gas. Not sure what to check.

Answer
The float, needle and seat seem to be the problem from your description of the problem.
Sometimes the float gets saturated with fuel and no longer floats, and other times it's and adjustment issue.  One other possibility is that there isn't a good seal for the seat in the carb top.
