Suzuki: 1988 samurai, metric thread, guage

I have 1988 samurai , that heat guage does not work . Am adivised that new one not availble. Have had trouble finding after market guage that will work with the metric thread in block. And is it hard to replace? Thanks in advance , Dave

You will probably find that the temperature sender in the motor is probably ok.  I would pay attention to what the other gauge does when connected to the stock sender.  It may be that you can use it, even though it reads differently.  As soon as you determine what normal is with the new gauge.
