Suzuki: carburator, throttle linkage, vent tube

Question
A 86 samurai owns me.  It has an hesitation when start.  Is there a modification to the carburetor to stop the hesitation?

Answer
Two possibilities.
First, it has an accelerator pump.  if you take the cover off, and with the engine not running, move the throttle linkage, or pull on the throttle cable while looking down the carb, you should see a small nozzle squirt fuel when you move the linkage from rest.
The other involves a vent tube that years ago was an upgrade from the factory to solve a flat spot upon acceleration.  Go to www.izook.com, and click "links", and search the sites for the carb update.  As I remember the parts cost about $15.00.
