Tips on Buying Cars: Purchased car yesterday want to return today, jersey city nj, vehicle purchases

Daughter purchased car yesterday.  Cannot afford it.  Honda, Jersey City, NJ.  Brought car back today.  Salesperson cursed her and said that she had 24 hours before payment is due?  And that the contract is valid and cannot return vehicle.  I told her to turn around and take that car back and leave it there.  And, to speak with Manager.  Is attorney necessary?

I apologize that it took me so long to respond, I've been very sick the past few days and haven't been up to typing or functioning at all really.

Speaking with a manager may be a good idea.. As for returning - the dealership MIGHT have a policy on returns - OR your state might also have a policy on returns... (call your DMV - they can tell you very quickly if they have any policy and what it takes to qualify under the policy) -

Unfortunately - with most vehicle sales - You sign a contract agreeing to purchase X vehicle and pay X dollars for it... and that is a legally binding contract. If the manager isn't nice enough to take it back (not likely.. but possible) - and you don't have a policy on vehicle purchases in NJ - then you might not even have a legal case...

If all else fails it wouldn't hurt to call a lawyer... they might know of some loop hole that I am not familiar with...

And if that fails... sell the Car ASAP - and pay off everything she owes on it... if possible...
