Tires: tire sizes, 18 wheels, winter tires

I bought a 2006 Toyota Tacoma x-runner with some 255 45 R 18 tires.
The seller sold me some Michelin winter tire 255 75 R 16 for the truck. Can I put those on this truck

First, I hope you realize that 16" tires will not fit on 18" wheels.  So unless the winter tires came with wheels, you will need to buy wheels that will fit your vehicle.

Even if those tires came with wheels, it is unclear if the wheels will fit.

But other than the wheels, that tire size will work on your vehicle. - BUT - your speedometer will be reading 15% low - that is, when you are going 52 mph, the speedometer will read 52 mph. Normally, tires should be within 3% to assure that the electronic systems don't sense the difference, but I am pretty sure that your vehicle is not one of those.  But you should check to be sure.
