Tires: metric tire size equivalent to Standard measurment

Question
Tires: metric tire size equivalent to Standard measurment
tire
Hello:  I have BF Goodrich T/A Radial/Tubeless, Trigaurd 3 ply sidewall KO, 30 x 9.50 R15 104 S tires and am finding it very confusing to convert the measurements into metric form.  I need to sell them but live in Canada where everything is metric except the info stamped on my tires!! Could you please, please, help me out by telling me how this tire would be written in metric?  Thank you very much for your help.

Answer
Wendy,

"Metric" sizing is the standard form for tire sizing.  A 30X9.50R15LT is called a "Flotation" size - and should be expressed that way.  Flotation sizes is a different, but parallel system and the 2 systems do not convert exactly.

So if you are going to sell them, say they are "30X9.50R15LT 104S" and that EXACTLY describes what you have.  If anyone wants to know if they will fit their vehicle, then they will have to do a little research as the answer is not simple.  THEY should do that - you shouldn't.
