Tires: Pulling to the left, subaru imprezza, inflation pressure

Question
Hi, I own a used 2006 Subaru Imprezza Wagon and it's pulling to the left. I've taken it to align 3 times to 3 different shops but I'm still experiencing the problem. Also, when I changed the front tires the guy said that the tires were cutting. Could you give me possible reasons for this?

Answer
Lara,

I don't know what he may mean by "cutting".  Perhaps he said "cupping" - and that is caused by misalignment and aggravated by insufficient rotation and insufficient inflation pressure.

Did they swap the front tires left to right?

If they didn't, they should.

If they did, and the pull changed direction, then the problem is the tires, and replacing them is your only option.

If the swap didn't cause the pull to change directions, then the alignment is the problem.

And if the swap caused the pull to disappear, then it is both the tires and the alignment.
