Tires: tire tread crack, general tires, volvo 740

I purchased four New general tires 185/65/R15 altimax HP for my 89 Volvo 740. I notice that one of the tires has   5 tire tread cracks running from the tread baseline on one side of the tire across over the tread to the other side of the tire. Three of the cracks are about 1/16" wide and two of the cracks are about 1/32" wide. I wonder that this tire is defected and should not be used because of safety
(tread separation). Please advise.  Thank you

Without looking at the tires, it is hard to be exact, but it sounds like this the result of the molding of the tire.  While it is nothing to be worried about, it certainly is something that the dealer can exchange for you.  So go back where you purchased the tires and show it to them.  Even if I am correct - which I might not be - they are in the best position to decide what to do.
