Tires: Removing steel belts from a tire, tire shredders, steel belts

Question
Hi. I wanted to find out is there an inexpensive way to remove steel belts from tires in order to recycle the metal? I am familiar with the massive tire shredders that use a magnet to extract the metal from the small pieces. Unfortunately, they are very expensive. I'm more interested in possibly a special device that either grinds down the tire to the level of the belts or a machine such as a sidewall remover that can remove the rubber down to the level of the belts. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
Well Kyle,
I have never been asked this before.
I really have no idea if or where you can but one.

If you are willing to put a lot of hand work into this, then try a sidewall tire removal tool.

However, since this is mainly used to remove the DOT on the tire and since it has a very small cut, it would take days to do one tire.  Is days of work worth it?

Check it out before getting into this.
