Used Cars: used car rip off, 18 years, ex girlfriend

i just bought a used car from a friends ex girlfriend. and i recently found out that the front of the car is rusted out and is unsafe to drive, i am a minor. isnt it illegal to sell a minor an unsafe vehicle?

I don't know your location to give you a positive answer, but 99.9% says you can buy a car at any age for cash, but signing a contract for a vehicle to finance will be around 18 years old subject to location.

When you buy a car privately you're buying AS IS, whatever problems the vehicle has the moment the title is signed over becomes your problem.
