Truck Repair: Ranger belt, ford ranger edge, pullies

Question
Hi Mike, I don't know if this is up your alley but here goes. I have a 2003 3.0l Ford Ranger Edge no a/c with 40k miles on it. The top pulley squeals on it and it has a wobble. The dealer has already changed the belt twice and 6k miles ago they changed the top pulley and the belt. The squealing is back. What can be causing the belt and or pulley to be wearing so fast? Thanks Ryan

Answer
I couldn't find any bulletins on your problem.  It sounds like one of the pullies is out-of-line and causing premature wear on the belt and the idler pully.  Take a real close look at your belt when it is installed and see if any of the pullies look out of line , even a little bit will make a big difference.  Hope this help lead to the problem.  MIKE
