Vintage Cars: 56 dash layout, assembly manual, wiper switch

I have a 1956 150 chevy.The wiper switch mounting hole is located at the top and the light switch is at the bottom.In the assembly manual they are reversed is this possible.Thanks

If they're the same size, then I suppose it would have been an easy mistake.  Someone may have taken the dash apart at one time, and didn't note where the switches were originally.  If they're not the same size, then I don't know how such a thing could have happened.
