Vintage Cars: MG wheel nuts, wheel nuts, hand thread

Can you tell me about spin on wheel nuts on the MG is it theft hand thread  on the right hand side and are they self locking.

It depends on what year your MG is but if they are standard wheel nuts they are clockwise to do up.
If they are knockons then the directions are indicated by an arrow on the chrome wingnut - clockwise again to do up.

No not self locking - should be tightened very firmly to ensure they will not work lose.
