How to Remove the Console From a 2003 Trailblazer

The 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer console is located between the front two seats, directly in front of the center dashboard panel. The console houses the cup holders and the extra storage unit. Removing the console requires the removal of a few screws. Once you have taken out the screws, you can easily pull the console out of your Trailblazer. It is a simple task that should take you no more than fifteen minutes to perform.

Things You'll Need

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Turn the Trailblazer's engine off and open the center storage unit.

  • Remove the four screws at the bottom of the unit with a Philips screwdriver and pull it out of the console to reveal two more screws. Remove those two screws as well.

  • Remove the two cup holders by pulling them out and remove the screws underneath the cup holders.

  • Disconnect the electrical wire connection at the rear end of the console near the passenger's seat.

  • Pull the console up and out the Trailblazer. To install the console, simply reverse the removal procedure.
