The Volvo S40 is a compact car in production since 1995. Depending on road conditions and time of day, it may become necessary to adjust the headlights. The brightness of the lights can be adjusted from the instrument panel. The panel is generally to the left of the steering wheel to allow for easy adjustments while driving.
Turn the ignition key to "II." The low-beam headlights, also known as daytime lights, automatically illuminate.
Turn the thumb wheel located to the left of the steering wheel to adjust the headlight brightness.
Thumb the wheel up to increase the brightness and thumb the wheel down to decrease the brightness.
