How Do I Install Bluetooth In a Honda Odyssey?

The HandsFreeLink system in your 2015 Honda Odyssey can pair with most current cell phones on the market, however there are some that aren't compatible. Before attempting to pair your phone, check to make sure your phone is compatible. Additionally, you'll be working back and forth between your phone and your Odyssey's interface, so make sure to familiarize yourself with accessing and navigating your phone's Bluetooth settings menu.

Things You'll Need

  • Computer
  • Navigate to http://automobiles.honda.com/handsfreelink and click on the button labeled "Find phone." Input your make, model and year into the module under the section titled "Select your Vehicle." Input your phone carrier, manufacturer and model under the section titled "Select a Phone." If your phone is compatible, proceed to the next step.

  • Turn the ignition on. Press the settings button on the right side of the interface dial. Rotate the dial and highlight "Phone settings" on the interface screen. Press in on the dial to make your selection.

  • Select "Bluetooth device list," if this is the first phone you're pairing to your Odyssey. Select "Connect phone," if you're pairing an additional phone. Select "Add Bluetooth device."

  • Go to the Bluetooth menu on your cellphone and activate discovery mode. Watch your Odyssey's display screen and wait for it to display your phone. Choose your phone from the list.

  • Compare the six-digit code displayed on the screen with the one displayed on your phone. If your phone displays a prompt to enter a code, enter the six-digit code into the phone. Follow the instructions on your phone to allow the Bluetooth connection.

  • Watch the display and wait for the phone to connect. When asked to synchronize your phone, select "On" to automatically sync your phone book and call history with HandsFreeLink. Select "No" if you don't wish to sync your phone at this time. When the screen returns to the main menu, turn off the ignition.
