Wheel Lug Nut Torque Specifications on a 2007 Dodge RAM

The Dodge Ram debuted in 1981 as the new name for the D- and W-series pickups. The Ram initially came in three sizes, which were 150, 250 and 350, but following the complete overhaul of the lineup in 1994, Dodge changed the size designations to 1500, 2500 and 3500. The third-generation Ram debuted in 2002 and ran through the 2008 model year. The 2007 Dodge Ram came in all three sizes -- 1500, 2500 and 3500 -- and its lug nut torque varied, depending on whether the pickup had a single-rear-wheel or dual-rear-wheel setup.

Lug Nut Torque

  • On 2007 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 with a single-rear-wheel setup, the required torque for the lug nuts on all four wheels is 135 foot-pounds. On Ram 3500 models with the optional dual-rear-wheel package, the lug nut torque increases to 145 foot-pounds on the front and rear. In all cases, always torque the wheels in a crisscross pattern.
