2005 Scion XB: Does It Have an Antenna?

Introduced in 2003, the Scion xB has been nothing if not a standout in the marketplace -- and not always in the way that Toyota expected. The same boxy shape that made it such popular choice for the young and deliberately trendy also made it the practical choice for retirees. But regardless of who sat in the driver seat, the first-generation xB certainly made a statement everywhere it went.

Antenna Location

  • This generation Scion xB has a wiring harness that runs under the headliner, along the back of the cab, where the rear window meets the body. To accommodate the many different customization options that Scion touted for the xB, they left provisions for three different antenna locations and two different types. The radio antenna can plug into the side of either of the rear "C-pillars," near the corners of the vehicle. The third antenna option is on the rear edge of the xB's roof, right above the rear window.
