What Are the Dimensions of a Chevrolet Impala?

According to the Chevrolet website, the Impala is America's No. 1 choice for large sedans. This vehicle is marketed as having excellent fuel efficiency, modern technology, a high level of safety and, of course, a lot of interior space. In 2011, the Impala is available in three trim levels -- LS, LT and LTZ. These three trims have differing comfort and convenience features, but they share almost identical dimensions, both inside and out.

Exterior Dimensions

  • All three models of the 2011 Chevrolet Impala -- LS, LT and LTZ -- have a wheelbase length of 110.5 inches. They are all 200.4 inches long, 72.9 inches wide and 58.7 inches high. Their front axles are 62.4 inches long; their rear axles are 61.5 inches long. The LS and LT have a curb weight of 3,555 lbs.; the LTZ has a curb weight of 3,649 lbs.

Front Row Interior Dimensions

  • In the front row of all three trims of the Impala there are 39.4 inches of headroom and 56.4 inches of hip room. They all have 42.3 inches of legroom in the front row and 58.7 inches of shoulder room.

Second Row Interior Dimensions

  • In the second row, or back seat, of all three trim levels, there are 37.8 inches of headroom and 57.2 inches of hip room. They have 37.6 inches of legroom and 58.6 inches of shoulder room in the second row.
