How to Drain the Gas Tank on a Honda Foreman

A Honda Foreman is an All Terrain Vehicle. On the bottom of the gas tank is a rubber tube that allows the gas to enter the engine and will need to be removed in order to drain the gas from the gas tank. Draining the gas tank will be almost the same for every Honda Foreman model. The only part that will be different on most of the models will be the process for removing the body kit that conceals the carburetor or fuel injector.

Things You'll Need

  • Ratchet set
  • Pliers
  • Bucket
  • Turn the gas valve to the off position. Remove the body kit if their is a body kit concealing the engine by using the ratchet set to remove the retaining bolts and pulling the kit off of the Foreman.

  • Locate the tube that is running from the bottom of the gas tank to the carburetor or fuel injector. Pull the tube off of the carburetor or injector.

  • Place the bucket under the tube and turn the gas valve to the on positions. Drain the gas into the bucket until the gas tank is empty.
