How to Remove a Chrysler 300C Door Panel

Removing door panels from vehicles doesn't seem like it would be hard, and it's not. The problem is all of the little parts that cause the door panel to not fit correctly on the door again if they are damaged. Door panels are actually thin and easily cracked or damaged during removal or installation. Learn how to remove a Chrysler 300C door panel and keep your door panels in perfect condition.

Things You'll Need

  • Flat-head screwdriver
  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • Blunt tool (very small Phillips screwdriver may work)
  • Prying tool (butter knife or wide flat-head screwdriver)
  • Cup or container to hold screws
  • Open the door of the Chrysler 300C as wide as possible. Have a container ready to hold screws and small parts from the door panel.

  • Locate the small plastic circle panel directly behind the door handle. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry it open. Remove the screw that's behind this panel. There's a small square panel located just below the handle. Remove the screw behind this panel also.

  • Find the three trim clips located on the door panel near the edges. One is located near the front of the door panel in the center. Another is located on the rear edge of the door panel, just below where the color is different. The last clip is a few inches below the last one, near the bottom edge of the panel. Push a blunt tool into the hole in the center of the clip and use a prying tool around the edge of the door panel near the clip to pop the clip out.

  • Remove the last three screws located along the bottom of the door panel. Pull the panel away from the door. Lift up on the panel so it's free from the door lock on the top. Move the panel around to dislodge it from the metal hooks near the center of the door panel.

  • Pull the panel away from the door a few inches until you can see behind it. Find the metal rod that's connected to the door handle. Unsnap the open end of the rod's plastic clip and push it away from the door panel. Pull the door panel away from the door until you can see the three wires and wire connectors.

  • Using a small flat-head screwdriver, unclip the three wire connectors. The door panel is now completely free from the door.
