How to Replace the Front Signal Lights in a Dodge Caravan

Replacing a turn signal in any vehicle is relatively easy. Getting to a Dodge Caravan's turn signal lights is even easier than most and soccer moms everywhere can do it in record time. All you need is a few minutes and the right turn signal bulb. There is no reason to drive unsafely without a proper turn signal.

Things You'll Need

  • Turn signal light bulb number 3457AK
  • Screwdriver
  • Open the engine's hood to access the front turn signal bulbs. Find the three screws that hold the headlight assembly to the front of the van. They are above the light assembly spaced apart like a triangle. Remove the three screws with a screwdriver.

  • Take the headlight assembly a little ways off of the front of the van to give you room to get to the bulbs. The turn signal socket is in the middle of the outer half of the headlight assembly. Twist the socket counter clockwise to take it out of the assembly.

  • Pull the turn signal bulb straight out from the socket. Dispose of the old bulb. Replace it with bulb trade number 3457AK unless the owner's manual for your Caravan year model states otherwise. Turn signal bulbs can be purchased at any auto supply store.

  • Reinstall the turn signal light socket and replace the headlight assembly back onto the van. Test the bulb to make sure they work before you secure the assembly with the three screws. Close the hood and drive safely.
