Longacre’s New Tablet Scale System

Longacre’s New Tablet Scale System

Longacre’s new Computerscales XLi uses a tablet and that brings new wireless technology to race teams for all matters of setting up their chassis. This scale, which was designed from the ground up as a tablet-based system, is totally wireless. The signal is sent directly from the scale pads to the handheld 7-inch Android tablet with high-resolution screen, folio case, screen protector, and stylus included.

Advanced features of the system are plentiful and include the ability to view all of your partial weights and percentages at once. You can scroll through the options with your fingertip and toggle between standard to Metric measurements from the setup screen. One feature that we particularly like is that the system shows memory weights and current weights at the same time so you can easily make comparisons. Plus there is memory storage for up to 50 weights. The weights and car icon can be rotated on the display for easy viewing from any position—front, rear, and sides and the display is customizable. Just simply tap your preferences into the order you want them displayed. You can even add a blank line if you want to separate percentages. Select as many or few as you want, however four will be shown on the main display but you can access the others by scrolling up or down the list. You can also change partial weight percentage resolution and weight units. The tablet battery status shown on the display for each corner allows you to always keep tabs on how much juice you have left. And if you need to plug in to recharge there is no need to stop working, the tablet operates while plugged into the charger. There are four different car icons available—Stock Car, Modified, Open Wheel, and Kart, and there’s even a Bright Sunlight screen mode for easier viewing outdoors.

Each scale system has the tablet included with the app pre-installed so it’s ready to use right out of the box! There are three Computerscales XLi tablets available, the 15-inch Single Cell 1,500 pounds per Pad; the 15-inch Dual Cell 1,800 pounds per Pad; and the 12-inch Single Cell 1,100 pounds per Pad.
