Snowplow-Proof Ford E40D Transmission

We’re building our ’97 Ford F-250 regular cab into a snowplow truck that we’ve begun referring to as Mr. Plow around the office. While this truck will never make more than 400 hp or see a dragstrip, we wanted to make sure its E4OD four-speed transmission was up to pushing snow and hauling trailers. That’s why we sent our E4OD to a transmission shop that’s surrounded by snow- covered mountainsATS Diesel. Scribner’s rotationally molded polyethylene cases are superior to shipping expensive transmissions in cardboard boxes, and they don’t absorb ATF like wood crates.
