Auto Insurance Claims: total loss claim, total loss auto

Question
I have a question in regards to a total loss claim. We had purchased a Lexus 07 450h that was previously involved in an accident in Michigan, and was repaired by an authorized dealer. we paid over 30k it was almost a brand new car, it had 8000 miles.
We transfer the car in our name in Illinois and we got full insurance through Farmers. The car was in perfect conditions we never had problems with the car.  Two weeks ago we got in to a accident and our car was declared a total loss. The insurance pick up the car and I was to be contacted by the total loss unit.
This morning I just got a call from the adjuster that they run the vehicle history and the car was a salvage title in a different state and this will affect our claim.
What should we expect and what should we do?
We have a full insurance coverage, can the insurance change our coverage now?

Answer
Salvage title should not reduce valueover 10 percent in my opinion. You should get written opinions from used car dealers on this part. If your title does not show it was a total salvage car, but only a repaired car, then Farmers can make no deduction for "salvage title". They will also probably try to lowball you even if they don't deduct for salvage title. Consider an eBook on Total Loss Auto Advice at Uclaim.com.
