Answer
Hi Eve,

You need to stay on top of the insurance company. Call them everyday if necessary. The insurance company does not repair your car. They only write a check for it to be repaired. You need to select a body shop. Tell the body shop to go pick up the car and bring it to the shop. Tell the insurance company where you have had the vehicle moved to so they can send their inspector there.

In theft claims it can take as long as 60 days for the insurance company to get their act together. You need to complete any paperwork they may request and provide any statements they request.

Just keep pushing them. If you are not getting timely action, call the company and ask to speak to a supervisor. Explain your situation and push them for action.

I hope this helps
