Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Heater not working, plymouth voyager, 1997 plymouth voyager

Question
I have a 1997 plymouth voyager. There doesn't seem to be any
heat coming out when the heater is on. The AC seems to be OK.
When I slide the controls down towards heat, I notice a distinct
loss in air coming out of the vents. Half way down you can hear
a difference in the soundÐ as if the vent is not
opening properly to let the hot air in. I also remember that this
past summer when I adjusted the ac, it seemed to stay very cold
even when I slid the control towards warm-don't know if the two
problems could be related. The thermostadt was replaced last
year and seems to be functioning properly as indicated by the
gauge on the dash.

Answer
The cable as you slid the control towards warm is most likely loose at the DAMPER DOOR of which is UNDER the dash usually near the glove box area.

Have someone move the slide back and forth and look for this cable moving a lever under the dash.
